Have you ever been short of breath? What caused it? How is your overall respiratory health?

Yes, I have been short of breath. It was because I was running longer than I usually do and this was during band practice. However, my overall respiratory health is in good shape. I don't hyperventilate nor do I have short raspy breaths.

Out with First Semester, In with the Second

What i remember most from first semester was the bones. It was fun learning about them because my first impressions was that "wow there are a lot of bones!" But after a while I got use to identifying bones, but I still need some practice on it ><;;. For second semester, I plan to work harder and try to keep my notebook in tact by the end of the year (not like first semester where it fell completely apart... -__-;;). My goal is to maintain my grade as an A and I will accomplish that through much studying -^^-.

Blog: My Choice

Muscles always work in pairs. While one of the muscles contract, the other extends. This movement in pairs allows the limb where the muscles are located, to move. They are able to do so because of the supply of energy they get from oxygen and glucose.

Muscle Injury

The last time I got a muscle injury was when I pulled a muscle in my leg. That happened because I didn't stretch correctly and when I was playing basketball with some friends, I pulled a muscle in my calf. It hurt a lot. It healed in about a day and I couldn't really walk. I was sort of limping a little.

Muscles and Bones

Bones are made stronger through exercising the muscles. As you exercise, the muscles will pull on the area of the bone it is attached to. Thus this makes that area of the bone denser, meaning it will be stronger. And because the muscles guide the movement of the bones, as the muscle contracts and relaxes, it constantly pulls on the bone.

Bone Health

hmmm The only way i know how to make your bones stronger is to DRINK MILK and exercise! By drinking milk, you are making it denser and stronger because of the calcium in the milk. And, by exercising, you are using your muscles, which pull on your bones, making it denser and stronger at the areas where the muscle is pulling. Either way, if you want your bones to be stronger, make it denser hahaha -^^-

Why are bones important to our body?

Without bones, how are we going to move because our muscles attach to our bones, allowing us movement. Otherwise we'll all be a puddle of flesh and skin hahahah xD Anyways.... They also provide support for the body and the posture, so that we can stand. Our bones protect all our soft fleshy organs in our body and enables them to function without getting damaged by outside obstacles.
